The All-New 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe
When you consider that it’s rated highly in safety by the NHTSA, has an outstanding design, and features galore, it’s easy to see why the Chevy Tahoe is so popular. If the new 2021 Chevy Tahoe isn’t at the top of your to-buy list, then it should be. Wondering why? Read on to find out!
Lots of Trim Options
The 2021 Chevy Tahoe has an impressive array of trims to choose from. There are 5 in total: LS, LT, Z71, Premier, and High Country. We will go over each trim in detail below, so you know which ones best for you:
While this is the base trim, it’s actually the only one that holds 9 passengers instead of 8. So, if passenger capacity is of the utmost importance, then this might be the perfect trim for you.
In the LS trim, you will get the Infotainment 3 Plus system that has a 10.2-inch touchscreen. You can use Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth with it. Other features include HD radio, 6 USB ports, and Wi-Fi hotspot.
The LS trim also comes with:
• Proximity keyless entry
• Remote start
• 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat
• tri-zone automatic climate control
What’s amazing is even the base trim comes with a number of safety features. They include forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, rear seat reminder, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. You even get GM’s Teen Driver with it!
Should you want even more safety features, this is possible with the optional Driver Alert package. This adds lane keep assist, lane change alert, lane departure warning, front parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind zone monitoring.
For those of you who love being immersed in music while you drive, you’ll be pleased to know that the LT trim comes with a 9-speaker Bose stereo. Other features include leather-appointed 10-way power-adjustable front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless device charging, and a hands-free power liftgate. Like with the LS trim, you can purchase the Driver Alert package. However, you get more options for packages with the LT trim.
The Luxury package gives you a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, 2nd row heated outboard seats, power-folding 2nd and 3rd row seats, surround-view parking camera system, and rear automatic braking. If you want to take it a step further, opt for the LT Signature package, which adds a beautiful panoramic sunroof. You can also add the Rear Media and Nav package, which gives you a navigation system and dual-screen entertainment system in the rear.
For the most part, the Z71 is remarkably similar to the LT trim. However, this is the trim to pick if you’re going after excellent performance. This is because the Z71 trim gives you 4-wheel drive as well as a premium suspension, heavy-duty air filter, hill descent control, front skid plate, and a 2-speed transfer case. If you want the same upgrade packages as above, they’re still available with this trim.
Next up is the Premier trim, which gives you an 8-inch driver information display, perforated leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable front seats that are ventilated, a navigation system, alloy wheels bigger than in the other trims, and a 10-speaker Bose stereo. You’ll also get a safety alert seat.
If you want to upgrade this trim, there are 2 choices. The Premium package adds a panoramic sunroof, as well as adaptive cruise control and a rear camera mirror. The Texas Edition package gives your vehicle a unique exterior look.
High Country Trim
With the highest-level trim, you’ll get to enjoy quite a few upgrades from the other trims. For one, you’ll get a 15-inch head-up display and Magnetic Ride Control. You’ll also get adaptive air suspension, rear camera mirror, surround-view parking camera system, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
You also have 2 upgrade packages with the High Country trim. If you get the Premium package, you’ll get power-retractable steps. As for the Technology package, you’ll enjoy adaptive cruise control, touchscreens in the rear, a trailering system, and brake controller.
In all the trims (besides the High Country), you’ll get a powerful 5.3L V8 engine. This base engine can do 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque. For the High Country trim, you’ll benefit from a 6.2L V8 engine, which is capable of 420 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. Also, front-wheel drive is standard on every trim except for the Z71. While you’ll have to pay extra to get 4-wheel drive on all trims, it comes standard on the Z71 trim.
